The Piano Department

School
Head of the piano department of Daugavpils Music school is Larisa Ļebedeva. At the piano department of music school work 17 pedagogues: L.Aleškeviča, V.Akulova, O.Artamonova, E.Bambāne, I.Bitiņa, B.Fioņina, J.Hozjainova, B.Kornaševska, L.Ļebedeva, L.Plotiņa, I.Sajevska, G.Simonova, G.Starožicka, A.Vīndedze, I.Zdanovska, I.Boikova and N.Olehno.
At the school piano department learn 118 pupils. During the studies they learn the piano play, piano ensemble and accompaniment. Pupils actively take part in MS concerts, festivals and competitions in our school as well as in regional, state and international competitions.

Primary school
Head of primary school and secondary school department is Elīna Bambāne.
At the piano department of music primary school work the following pedagogues: Ilona Boikova, Elīna Bambāne, Ilona Sajevska, Ināra Zdanovska and Larisa Ļebedeva.
In the piano class of primary school there learn 16 pupils. All primary school leavers continue the studies in our Music secondary school.

Secondary school
In Music secondary school work pedagogues: Aivars Broks. Ilona Boikova, Elīna Bambāne, Ilona Sajevska, Ināra Zdanovska, Irina Gusarova, Larisa Bulava, Larisa Ļebedeva.
The education programme of piano play is learned by 21 pupils, the education programme of organ play – 2 pupils. All the pupils who finish the piano department successfully continue the studies in higher education establishments.

The department organises the International chamber ensemble competition “Nova musica”, which is held every second year, the festival for the piano department pupils of Daugavpils regional MS, further education courses for pedagogues-pianists, and the annual concert which is dedicated to the International Day of music.
